Grey Street Blog

Welcome to the Grey Street Images Blog.  I prefer to use this as an area to showcase my workflow and thoughts as well as a few random photos here and there.  I will post current projects that I am working on and samples from shoots here regularly.  I hope that everyone enjoys it.

A nice evening for a photo shoot, mosquitos & a thunderstorm

I was so excited to photograph this great family.  We had rain throughout the day with a weather predication of no rain at all so we were a little nervous about the weather holding out.  When we arrived there was perfect lighting and a ton of mosquitos... welcome to July in Wisconsin.  The weather cooperated until the very end so our session was cut a little bit short and we only got a little bit wet.  I got some great shot of these two cuties.  Here is a preview...  Thanks Brian and Erin :)

Pickin' Strawberries

Tonight we went out to a local strawberry patch to pick our own strawberries.  This sounds like a great idea... at first.  Then you realize that you are the proud owner of a 15 month old little boy.  We went into it with our fingers crossed.  All in all, the picking went well after a trip home to get Max's shoes... and bug spray... and pants.  We ended up with some tasty strawberries and red stained fingers (and clothes) and a few great photos to boot!  Please support your local small farms and growers :)

Frogs and Fire Trucks with Ethan

Tonight it was all about Fire Trucks, Frogs, and a Goose egg to the noggin about 5 minutes before the start of our session.  We weathered the storm and all turned out great for Ethan's four year pictures.  He was awesome!  Thanks guys!!

Asher at the Park

I had so much fun chasing this little rascal around the park tonight.  He is a very busy little man. What a handsome little dude!

The Dodd's at The Workshop

I had an awesome shoot at the workshop tonight with the Steve & Tricia & their 3 beautiful children.  I had so much fun. What a unique location too!  here's a little sample...

Max's Official 1 Year Photo Shoot

We went out to the Park for Max's official 1 year photo shoot today.  What a nice afternoon.  Andrea got some balloons and Max was in a great mood.  The photos turned out great.  Here is a small sample that I worked on tonight.  I couldn't wait to get a few up so people could see them. Enjoy!

A beautiful evening for outdoor cooking

I decided to cook some Kakobs on the grill last night. Organic chicken breast, red and green peppers, zucchini, red onion & mushrooms. I seasoned them with EVOO, salt, pepper, a dash of lowreys, paprika, and berebere.  Yummy

Back to GM

I went back to the Janesville assembly plant this morning.  It was overcast with just a touch of green starting to sprout.  There were a few areas that I still wanted to photograph.  There is something about abandoned buildings that is so captivating, I just want to explore.  So here are a few, even after security told me to back up a bit...
